The national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Mr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has urged the federal government to address the food inflation and current hardships faced by Nigerians.

In his goodwill message for Eid-el-Kabir, Ezeokenwa highlighted the need for policymakers to take decisive actions to improve the Nigerian economy and promptly resolve the issue of the national minimum wage.

He wished Muslims a peaceful celebration and prayed that the blessings of Eid-el-Kabir would spread throughout the nation, fostering togetherness and resilience amidst ongoing challenges.

“Eid el-Kabir holds a distinctive place in the hearts of Muslims globally, reminding us of the virtues of selflessness, compassion, and devotion. During this revered period, APGA acknowledges and celebrates the invaluable contributions of the Muslim faithful to our great nation,” Ezeokenwa said.

He emphasized the importance of celebrating the festival with unity, love, and a spirit of sacrifice, noting that Eid-el-Kabir is an opportunity for believers to reflect on the lessons of compassion, selflessness, and generosity exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

The chairman called on Nigerians, especially the Muslim community, to embrace the values exemplified by Eid-el-Kabir and strive to embody its principles. He also urged Muslims to use the occasion to strengthen their bonds of unity with fellow Nigerians, regardless of religious or cultural differences, and to extend a helping hand to those in need.

These principles, he said, form the foundation for a prosperous and inclusive society.
