Nigerian actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande has filed a cease and desist letter against social media blogger, Gistlover.

The actress had earlier denied the report by the blog that she had an affair with the Senate president, Godswill Akpabio.

Recall that a viral report on Sunday named Dakore among other female celebrities that are allegedly Akpabio’s ‘side chicks.’

Reacting to the post, the actress denied the allegation via a video on her official Instagram page on Monday,stating that she had never met Akpabio before.

She said “I saw text messages and calls this morning, alerting me to a very wicked lie from the pit of hell. I must say that I’m very disappointed, shocked and appalled. And I want to categorically state that I have never ever met the Senate president in my life.

“I have not had any cause to be in the same room with him, not to talk of being his side chick. I’m happily married with two beautiful children. So for a jobless, wicked blogger to decide to put my name amongst women who have been with this man is totally wicked and unfounded.

“It is a lie and I am ready for any legal action because, at this point, you have messed with the wrong person. I keep to myself, mind my business, I drink water and I do my work. So for someone to want to tarnish my hard-earned name and image for some clicks, no way.

“I’m not going to accept it or going to be quiet about it. I want to put it out there. Anyone who can provide video or audio evidence that I have been with this man, I would give you N5 million right now,” she said.

In separate post on her Instagram page, the law firm representing her filed a notice cease and desist on Gistlover.

The letter partly reads, “ This letter serves as a formal cease and desist notice demanding that you (Gistlover) immediately remove the incriminating post containing a picture of our client falsely connecting her to the Senate President of Nigeria; Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio as well as the false remarks on Instagram. Let it be on record that our client is happily married to Mr Akande and has been for many years, earns an honest living as an actor personality and has never met the said Senate President in person.”
