Aiyedatiwa dissolves Ondo state executive council

The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has dissolved the State Executive Council.

Aiyedatiwa, who assumed office on December 27, 2023, following the death of former Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, also relieved all Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants of their duties.

A statement from the governor’s spokesman, Ebenezer Adeniyan, announced the dissolution, stating, “All members of the Cabinet (who were appointed by late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu) are to immediately hand over to the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices.”

Additionally, the affected officials were directed to surrender all government properties in their possession.

Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the officials for their services and contributions to the development of the state.

The governor’s decision to dissolve the State Executive Council comes as part of his administration’s actions since taking office.
